Brenda Wells, MD

                       

Dr. Wells is a Board Certified Family Physician who completed her residency at Lutheran Medical Center, in Brooklyn, NY, in 2006. After spending three years in York, PA practicing Family Medicine, she wanted to return home to Tucson, to be with her family. 

When returning to Tucson, she practiced with Carondelet Medical Center for 3 years.  She has been with Tucson Family Care since 2012.

Dr. Wells believes that a good doctor-patient relationship is important, as well as, health maintenance and disease prevention. She is interested in all aspects of Family medicine from newborns to geriatrics. 

Dr. Wells is happily married with three children.

David Vercel, MSN, FNP-BC

David is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, who joined Tucson Family Care in 2019. He began his healthcare career as a registered nurse with a background in both pediatrics and adults, specializing in ICU and emergency care. David is dedicated to the well-being of every one of his patients. He enjoys teaching and empowering each patient so they have the tools necessary to better their healthcare.  

In his spare time, David loves to hang out with his wife and daughters. He also enjoys taking his dogs for evening walks, college football season (Go Blue!), and playing golf.

Mary Najera, MSN, FNP-BC

Mary is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She brings her 20 years of nursing expertise to the practice, including medical, surgical, and hospice experience. Mary readily connects with her patients on a personalized individual level and thrives on assisting them to reach their highest level of health. In her spare time, she enjoys family BBQs, old-time country music, going to the gym and taco Tuesdays- Balance! She looks forward to meeting you and traveling your healthcare journey side by side.

Sara Gordon, MSN, FNP-BC

Sara Gordon is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. She spent her years as a nurse primarily in emergency care. Sara has a passion for helping those in need, and thinking outside the box to solve problems. She loves to connect with her patients one and one, and looks forward to building a special relationship with each person individually. In her spare time, Sara surrounds herself with her friends and family. She loves to read, travel, and spend time with her two german shepherds (Bane and Bailey).
